Frequently asked questions

When should I take a breastfeeding course?

We recommend starting to learn about breastfeeding before you have your baby. We have a section in our Little Wonders Childbirth Education program. It can be a completely different learning experience once you have your baby and are learning together. You can start your breastfeeding journey with the First 6 Weeks breastfeeding workshop any time in the first 6 weeks postpartum. It is a unique time where both you and baby are learning together to get breastfeeding established. As your baby grows and your milk supply changes, you may find yourself with more questions. That is a good time to take the Beyond the First 6 Weeks breastfeeding workshop. Additionally, you can seek one-on-one support from an IBCLC from organizations like the Calgary Breastfeeding Centre.
